Walk-Ins Welcome

75% Of The U.S. Will Experience Neck Pain At Some Point In Their Lives!

Dear Friend,

Over the past 24 years I've had the privilege of helping patients all across the South Sound with their neck pain.

Our clinic is different in that we dig, find, and FIX the root cause of the neck pain. We don't simply "mask" the symptom with a medication.

We'll determine the cause which will then determine our course of action. In other words, a herniated / bulging disc will require different treatment than misalignments / subluxation.

We also have different methods of reducing / minimizing INFLAMMATION in the body...so we'll look at things from a nutritional perspective and make recommendations that will reduce inflammation in the body.

If you're struggling with chronic neck pain and can't get to the bottom of it, then give our clinic a call. Our methods are safe, natural, and highly effective.

Neck Pain Statistics

Let's look at some neck pain statistics:

Neck pain is more common now than ever before due to a combination of computer and mobile phone use & poor workplace ergonomics / posture.

Neck pain now ranks 4th as the leading causes of DISABILITY worldwide.

Neck pain ranks 4th only behind back pain, depression, and arthralgias. Over the course of a lifetime, 50% of the population will experience a clinically important neck pain episode.

Roughly 24% of all visits to chiropractors are for neck pain.

In the US, chiropractors are estimated to treat over 35 million patients annually. Neck pain ranks as the 2nd most common reason for all chiropractic visits after back pain, comprising of 24% of all visits.

Roughly 30% of patients who have neck pain will develop CHRONIC symptoms.

Neck pain can be categorized as acute or chronic, with chronic persisting for many months and more likely to require the help of a specialist. Out of all neck pain sufferers, it is estimated up to 30% will develop chronic neck pain over time.

Causes Of Neck Pain

There can be numerous causes of neck pain. Let's explore some of the most common causes.

Subluxation

Subluxation refers to the mechanical compression and irritation to spinal joints and nerves. Misalignments in your spine (subluxation), especially those located near the top of your spine at your neck, can keep your brain stem from being fully protected and affect the function of every organ in your entire body.

What are some of the reasons WHY subluxations develop? Common causes include poor posture, text neck (too much cell phone use) eating an inflammatory diet, injuries, degenerative diseases, stress, repetitive movements, and a sedentary lifestyle.

In our clinic we'll do a thorough examination / analysis to determine WHERE subluxation is and the impact it's having on your health.

Muscle Strain & Ligament Sprain

A neck sprain or strain can happen suddenly OR can develop slowly over time from repetitive movements. Strains occur when a muscle is stretched too far and tears, damaging the muscle itself. Sprains happen when over-stretching and tearing affects ligaments, which connect the bones together.

Herniated Disc

The center of a cervical disc is like jelly & can break through the tough outer layer and irritate the nerve root(s). The herniated portion of the disc is full of proteins that cause inflammation when they reach a nerve, and inflammation as well as nerve compression cause excruciating pain. The disc wall is also supplied by nerve fibers, and a tear through the wall can cause severe pain.

Degenerative Disc Disease

As people age over time, discs lose hydration and wear down. As the disc loses hydration / water, it cannot resist forces as well, and forces to the disc wall may develop tears and cause pain or weakening that can lead to a herniation. The disc can also collapse and contribute to stenosis.

Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis results from wear and tear of the disc and facet joints. It causes pain, inflammation, instability, and stenosis to a variable degree. Spinal osteoarthritis is associated with aging and is slowly progressive. It is also referred to as degenerative joint disease.

Trauma

Fractures or dislocations of the spine can lead to pain. Neck pain that develops after a trauma, such as a motor vehicle accident or a fall, should be medically evaluated immediately.

Text Neck

Another condition which is now a global epidemic is called text neck!

Of the 6 billion people on the planet, over 4 billion have cell phones! Texting has become the dominant form of communication.

On Average, Americans spend 2.7 hours per day communicating and socializing on their phones, and even more time looking down at their mobile devices for web searching etc.

Beyond the cell phones, people spend countless hours daily hunched over numerous types of devices. Tablets, laptops, iPads, gaming consoles, reading devices etc.

What Are The Consequences Of Text Neck?
